The reveal of the MUCH requested nursery is finally here! I've answered a lot of questions on an old instagram post but I feel like I needed to do a thorough post on here so it's easier to access and so I can provide youwith all with links! If I miss anything, please feel free to comment below!
Many of you have asked for layout information. So here is the floor plan for our second floor and we decided to put the nursery closest to the 'Owners Suite' or 'Master Bedroom' (personally I don't approve of this label but unfortunately builders still use it today) for all the late night feeds. See Bedroom 2 for dimensions.
In every room I like to have a focal point and naturally behind the crib is where it made the most sense. I LOVE the colour green and wanted to stay away from the cliché blue for a boy's room. I purchased a Turkish rug as a souvenir during my baby-moon in Cappadocia, Turkey and always hoped to make it work with my nursery design. I wanted to support the dying art of rug making but also there is something so special about acquiring items when traveling which are forever connected to stories and amazing memories. I went with Hunter Green 2041-10 by Benjamin Moore as the accent colour which best complimented the rug. The rest of the house is painted White Dove OC-17 but before using this shade of white for your own home make sure it compliments the other whites and materials in your home.
I always hoped that my sons would love the outdoors as much as David and I so I really wanted this space to have a mix of coastal and mountain vibes while keeping the space minimalistic and fresh. This space gives me life during our long Canadian winters!

Love walking into the nursery with this happy boy waiting for me! This nursery was the first room we finished when we moved into our new home and it will forever hold a special place in my heart!
