Valentines Day Cookies

We make these cookies pretty regularly but for Valentine's Day we decided to decorate it with the boys as an activity!

INGREDIENTS:

3 eggs

1.5 cups of Sugar

1 cups of Non Salted Butter

1/4 cup of Milk

1/4 cup of Sour Cream

2 tsp Baking Powder

3 Packets of Vanilla Sugar

1 Grated Lemon Peel

1/2 kg of flour (approx. add as necessary)

PREPARATION:

Beat eggs with sugar then gradually add the other ingredients: milk, sour cream, lemon, vanilla. Then separately beat the butter until it's creamy and add to the bowl. Lastly, slowly add flour until the consistency is smooth.

Leave the dough to settle at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Separate the dough into mini balls and roll each one out approximately the size of the waffle machine as you work

When the waffle machine is warm enough, spray a little oil on the press and place flattened dough inside.

Feel free to add powdered sugar, or any other toppings as you'd like. Whatever we don't eat that day (if there's anything left) we freeze. Later you just take them out and let them defrost at room temperature.

NOTE:

The machine brand I have is Salton and is called Hearts Delight Waffle Maker, however I can only find it on Ebay. There is a similar looking one on Amazon that I have NOT used but it has great reviews. You can get it here.
